The Little Things
“He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” – Luke 16:10.
The little things are very important and valuable to God. He always gives you the little things before He gives you the big things. The reason for this is that the little things are considered the most overlooked, minuscule, and forgotten about things. Yet, the little things contain the biggest things. The most impactful and valuable things come from the little things. So, God will test you with the little things because He wants to see if you will take care of things that most people will overlook. You can tell how much someone cares by looking at how much effort they put into the little things and the smallest details. These small details contain the most thought, care, and effort. Therefore, if God sees that you truly care for the smallest details and the smallest things, then He knows you will be able to handle the bigger things because you truly do care.
“It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all the herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.” – Mark 31-32.
The little things are like mustard seeds, and you are like the farmer of the field. If you never take care of your seeds and crops, those mustard seeds will never grow to be the plant they need to be. If you never take care of the smallest things, such as your mustard seeds, then it will cost you the biggest things, the fully grown mustard plants. In which this will cost you a harvest. Whether you realize it or not, if you never take care of that mustard seed and it never grows up to have large branches, the birds will not be able to nest in it. This means that not only are you affecting yourself, but you are also affecting others who would have come to benefit from that plant. The little things are not of little value. So overall, don’t discount the little things because God is heavily in them. Some of the most significant and important impacts start from the smallest things. Though the little things are small, they can teach the most valuable lessons and principles. Some of your greatest revelations and life transformations will come from or start from the littlest of things.
